How do we find your skin type/condition ?

We use the DermaFlash SAM  (Skin Analysis Machine), that helps professionals in the skin care industry to detect normally  invisible skin conditions. The DermaFlash is a Skin Analyzer and Treatment Resource all in one.  Specialized UV-A lamps illuminate skin problems.

So, how do we help you pick and choose the appropriate skin care products for yourself?

We customize facial skin treatments based on SAM identified problems, and assist clients with their ongoing skin care regimen. When we apply the facial we educate you on why do you need to use the product? how to use the treatment products? and how often to use them?.  We also explain you what are different products you can choose.

How do we help you find the improvement after using the products?

One you start using the products we recommended, It takes 4-6 weeks to find a difference in your skin. You yourself can experience the magic the products do. You can also fix another S.A.M appointment, so you can observe your face in the machine and feel the improvement.

Understanding your skin is most important

1) Skin is an Organ

Skin is a vital part of your appearance and health. It is what keeps you looking young and maintains healthy glow. Your skin's condition can also make you look tired and aged. Skin has a much more important role than just looks - it helps keeps you healthy. Since your skin is the largest organ of your body, it is also considered as one of the most important.

2) Beware of the Sun

Harmful radiation in sunlight, or other sources, is absorbed by the pigmentation, or melanin, in the skin. Fair skinned people without much melanin are more prone to skin cancer than those who have more medium and dark skin tones. One form of skin cancer that is predominately produced by overexposure to the sun is malignant melanoma. Melanoma will strike about 1% of people in their lifetime and, left untreated, is frequently fatal. Sunburns (especially blistering sunburns in childhood) definitely play a role in melanoma.

3)Three Layers of Skin

Your skin is composed of three primary layers: the epidermis, the dermis, and the hypodermis or deep fatty layer. The epidermis, which is the outermost layer, provides waterproofing and serves as a barrier to your body from infection.

4)The Dermal Layer = In The Middle

The dermis is the middle layer of skin and contains blood vessels, nerves, hair follicles, smooth muscle, glands, and lymphatic tissue. This is the layer where the UV-A light is converted into the longer wavelengths that we can see residue  etc. This process is called fluorescence.

Three Basic Skin Types

Oil Type Skin

If your skin is shiny and your pores are large, then there is a good chance that your skin type can best be described as oily. This is the type of skin that is coarser than other skin types and is more likely to contain pimples and other similar blemishes.

Dry Skin Defined

When your skin is tight, dull, and flaky, it can be described as dry. This skin does not contain the elasticity and shine common to oily skin. Subjects with dry skin often experience sensitivity to harsh weather. This sensitivity extends to the sun and the subject is often more susceptible to sun burns.

Combination Type Skin

Combination skin can range from normal to oily or from dry to oily conditions. The first type involves normal skin around most of the face and Oily skin around the T-zone, which is the area around the forehead, nose, cheeks, and chin. Dry to oily skin is described as oily around the forehead area, chin, and nose, while being tight and dry around the cheeks.

Sensitive skin is not a skin type, it is a delicate skin condition, easily bothered and often blotchy and red. A person with sensitive skin can be allergic to many kinds of soaps or lotions.
